The Nen de Luz, designed by Joan Gaspar and produced by Marset win the lighting Delta de Plata Awards in its XXI edition.

The Delta ADI-FAD awards, organized every two years and by the Spanish Association of Industrial Design are the most important awards given in our country regarding industrial design.

This is the second time that Gaspar together with Marset win the Delta de Plata in the lighting category. The other one was given to the ATLAS series.

In this edition the Nen de Luz has been considered the best lighting product for its "qualitative jump that it means, giving prestige to a wide range product. The Neon is a meeting point between a refined aesthetic and an industrial application".

Marset has betting for products that the company defines as "architectural and decorative lighting" and that stand out for its good design and its excellent quality. Half of its production is distributed all over the world.

Since 1996 Gaspar is collaborating with Marset developing of new products. "The fact that the product is good or not depends on the designer and highly on the company that produces it, and above all in how it is promoted. Of all these hows I would say the most important is how it is produced. The technical solutions and the materials used are determinant for the image and the functionality of the product and that is its success or failure", Joan Gaspar states.

Educated in the Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Barcelona, this designer has collaborated with other companies, among them Marset, Perobell, Mobles 114, Santa&Cole, DAE, Cermicas Aguad, Pom dOr, ABR produccin, Stilus, Resinas Olot S.A., Astralpool. He has won among other awards the Concurso del Mueble de la Comunidad de Castilla la Mancha and the Concurso Internacional de la Feria del Mueble de Valencia.
